Members SyntheticTubs
They seem like nice snares, but the lugs seem kind of "busy" to me. It's just me, but I prefer the simple, smoother lugs.

Members mammynun
okay! anyone else? I have the clear Pork Pie from MF... sounds way better than the maple snare that came with my Mapex Pro-M Fusion kit. I have a PowerStroke 3 as a batter, and a Renaissance reso with the stock snares. Crack! no offensive overtones, no Moongel. The throwoff goes sideways (not towards you), but it's my main snare.... but I'm a newb.
Members tmetaler
any problems with the acrylic cracking? lugs rusting? paint on the hardware peeling off?
Members mammynun
any problems with the acrylic cracking? lugs rusting? paint on the hardware peeling off? I've only had it for 4 months... my guess is that the hardware is powder coated. Zero problems with the drum, but see if you can hear one.

Members SyntheticTubs
Acrylic has not had a problem cracking in a couple decades. The old vistalite shells from the 70's were thinner and more fragile. Modern acrylics are 1/4" thick and much tougher. Don't worry about cracking, because short of all-out abuse, it's not likely. Members danrothmusic
I'm really digging how it looks like everything is just floating there that would be the drum to use if you ever got those in-drum, sound-activated lights
