Members Tombolino
Hi I write song on a Mac. Im wondering if its practical to find a drummer who can record some drums for my songs, for a fee of course. Kind of like a studio drummer but via email. I have not tried it this way but Im thiking I would email the drummer an mp3 or wav. Drummer would open this file in his computer sequencer, record drums for the song and then email me back the wav file of the drums. Obviously, like I said I would pay the drummer and this could be on going. While real drums are great, I wouldnt mind a drummer who uses an electronic kit so that I can be given the choice of changing the kit or do any minor tweaks if done in MIDI Anyone who has done this please contact me so we can do a test? thanks much Sebastian

Members Carminemw
What are you using to record? Are you recording waves or sequencing? It would depend on how acurate you want to be. Also, sequencing might be easier simply because of drum sounds. It's hard to get a good ambient sound when all the recording charcteristics and facilities might be different. By sequencing, you'r just laying down a groove, patterns, durations etc. You can in turn build yourself a good drum sound with modules and then attach the sequence to it. I've done that before...sort of like phoning in a drum part.
