Members slummy
InteliStage says their drum riser package is sturdy, lightweight, and compact enough to fit in the trunk of your car! Is it easy to use and quick to set up and take down? Is it solid? Any feed back is welcome... Thanks __________________
Members Zeromus-X
Interesting concept... not incredibly expensive, either. My kit is on a 5' diameter rug (round), so a couple 3x3 panels would be plenty. Hadn't seen anything about it until now. Guess I'll see if anyone else can chime in here! Members Carminemw
I built my own 6'x6' platform. Not very light but very portable.
Members madt0wn
We have some of their stage set up in our lobby. I can't say it's light as a feather, but it is managable. Some caution has to be taken with the support legs that they're fully expanded, otherwise you can bend the plastic parts inside. Other than that, it's very solid and simple to set up. For the price, I can't see how you could beat it. Good stuff. Nice glue-y smell out of the box too.

Members xadrummer09
I've played a gig on them and they were pretty good. they were sturdy and did the job. I would prefer to use road ready stages for drums but thats just cause i use road ready for all my travel stuff for drums. also....Carminemw what did you use to make your own stage? Members Carminemw
We had a 26' truck for transport so space was not a problem. I took 2-3'x6' sheets of marine 3/4" plywood and carpeted them both together. The carpet formed my hinge. I then took a couple of sheets of marine and ripped it into 1' wide by 5' long strips. Each strip had a 3/4" notch routed into it at 1' intervals. You put all the pieces together like a honey comb with 1' open squares. The notches fit into each other. And then I bored a few holes in the 3/4" edge and plugged them with screw housings. The top screwed into the edges, but after a while, I found the screws unecessary and time consuming to assemble. I will tell you, this baby took a pounding and NEVER caved or moved ever! It sounds more complicated than it really was.
Members xadrummer09
so now that you have that, do you take it everywhere you play and use it live or do you just use one that the venue has?
Members Carminemw
I used to always use mine. We tried to remain consistant with the setup for a look. It also let me setup my kit exactly the same way every time. Even in smaller venues, it always fit...sometimes front, sometimes back, but very consistant. At times, it even held vocal monitors during dance sets and even a guitar rig. Gave us a somewhat multi level effect. It's was a great eyecatcher for the showband venue...singers on the floor, stage level one, and drum level 2...

Members slummy
Lightweight and not too expensive?? I was just told it retails for over $2,000...and the company also said it weighs 290 lbs! I have 6 of the 3x3's and 2 1/4 rounds, If you put them into the case (that is expensive) then its all very heavy! I have found its easy just to stack the 3x3's in my Tahoe and then but the legs next to the stack and then load the rest of the drums on top and around. I have a large kit and it all fits nicely on 4 3x3's that makes my stage 6x6. So when their is room I set up the extra 3x3 on the sides and we put the guitar amps on them. This give us a look on stage (in our local bars) like no other local band!.... very cool.... I will take some pictuers and up load them here.
