Members l Baker l
So I've been looking into getting some Iso-headphones for practicing. Me and my band will be moving into our new rehearsal space the beginning of August [seems so far away], and I will now have the freedom to be able to go just jam away on my drums for hours on end. So I figured theyd be a good thing to have when I'm just by myself wanting to play along with other tunes. I was checking GuitarCenter.com and ran across these;http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/Direct-Sound-EX29B-Extreme-Isolation-Headphones?full_sku=241218%2e001 They seem pretty good and aren't costing me an arm and a leg. There are no customer reviews on these headphones, so I still don't know a whole lot about them. So I was wondering if anyone here has used these headphones, or headphones like these. Or if you have any recommendations as to any other good Iso-Headphones for relatively cheap [i'd like to stay under a hundred dollars]. Thanks guys

Members l Baker l
Pasta I appreciate all the research and I definitely think that the EIH are worth the buy. Thank you again dude. Matt, I was looking for headphones, not just muffs. But just for noise dampening, I've used muffs like that and they work very well.
Members SudzDrummer
I have the direct sound extreme iso headphones. I've used sony's AND AKG's top of the line iso headphones and they don't match up to the Direct Sounds... not even close. I'd strongly reccommend the direct sound headphones!!!! Members pasta
you can wear those little ear bud phones and put you "muffs" over them to play along to tunes. I did that before I got my E-drums/Roland module.

Members summit111
My Brothers, I finally bit the bullet and bought a set of Westone custom hearing protectors. They were fit by an audiologist and are custom made. I have the 15 and 25 db filters. I used them last night and everything was so clear, only a lot quieter. I should have done this sooner. They are made of silicone rubber and are confortable. I've tried all sorts of plugs, muffs, etc., but these Westones are miles ahead. They make in ear monitors also. The rest of the band can fight all that extra noise. I can play comfortably and still hear all the tones and frequencies.
Members l Baker l
I've actually decided to go with the VicFirth iso-phones. At my local store I get stuff cheaper cuz I'm good friends with everyone there, and they deal with VicFirth so I got em for cheaper. Prolly about $15 cheaper. So I'm prolly lookin at $45 which isnt bad. They should be in on monday. I cant wait.
