Members Zeromus-X
We're playing a one-off show in Arlington next week and I'm wondering if it might just be easier to rent a kit than to haul mine up there, since I'm heading up to New Jersey after that for a few days and don't really want to drive four hours back home to drop off the drums (which is in the opposite direction). Anyone know if there's any place near DC to rent a cheap kit, and if so, how much it might be? Also interested if anyone knows where I could rent a plexi shield up there too, trying to keep the volume low at this gig. I can bring my own cymbals/heads/pedals/etc, I just hate to fill the car up with drums. If I'm renting, we can fit the entire band in my car with all their gear. The gas savings alone could be worth it. For anyone in the area, we're playing a place called Whitlows, it's this coming Saturday (a week from today, so the 22nd). Never been there and I know nothing about it, but if you come, my drum riser should be done by then so we can take bets on whether or not I'm gonna fall off the back of it. Members Funkdapus
Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center. Its in Maryland- close to Arlington and those guys are awesome. Might not have a set but the guys in the percussion department are really cool and will probably help you out. 301-946-8808.
Members Carminemw
Levin's is the place. Good people to deal with. Very professional shop. Don't know if they rent one night kits. Ask for Tommy Dildy... Also Veneman music who was acquired by Guitar Center in Rockville...
