But I'm tryin to plan out how to build a stage and a small bar/venue. I'm going to build a house in a few years and want to get all the plans together now. Have any of you done anything like this? Give one of the other forums like "open jam" or "back stage with the band" a shot. Somebody's had to have done something along those lines. There's a dude on the last page of the November Modern Drummer that uses the grated shelves like in the Wal Mart garden center for outdoor plants as a drum riser, I'm sure they could be used for a stage. They are called "Dunnage Racks". The article says you can contact SPC Industrials Systems at 800-523-6899. They come in 66" x 24" sections with eight PVC legs.
