Bearing edges...

Not sure how I've managed to do it, but I've managed to put a couple of small (less than .5mm) dents on my bearing edges for my 10" tom on my M-Birch kit.

I know there's not a chance in hell I can get them out, so I'm curious if this could have any effect. I doubt it, since it's so small, but, even then, how would this be fixed?

If you use two ply heads, they (the heads) wont even notice. In fact, unless you have jagged edges creating a puncture hazard, most dings will get absorbed into the slop factor. I have a five lug mystery kit from some unknown Asian galaxy. The things had seriously uneven edges. Having nothing to lose, I built them up with engine epoxy. The stuff dries very hard and is easily sanded. End of anecdote. You could use wood filler but .5mm sounds like you'd have to cut a gap just to have something to fill. Post a photo.

Pics will be nearly impossible, and I use 2-ply batters, so I'm not worried about it.
