Members jenksdrummer
I just want to know if I'm crazy.... I have two now - an M-Birch 7 piece, and a Saturn (identical configuration). I'm thinking of getting a 3rd "cheapie" kit, for use with shows...lol So, this is a poll...how many kits do you own?
Members Jarick
In my dream world... One kit would be my custom Kellers. Second kit would be a cheap kit for gigs (preferably with a wrap to take abuse). And hopefully a second set of cymbal stands for gigs.

Stays at home unless something happens where I can justify the potential damage that could happen from transporting it or using it live/in the studio. M-Birch is my workhorse, which for local gigs and only-band gigs, it'll be what I use - I have bags for them to keep them protected. Proposed 3rd:Tama EFX - wrapped kit, 4-piece - use for travel gigs or local gigs where we're splitting the night. Seperate hardware (tama roadpro - no memory locks, non-toothed tilters) - fast set up and tear down. Use 50% less cymbals too...

Probably should have gotten it wrapped for gigs, but I didn't.

Members cearleywine
I own two, plan on getting a third but totally custom. One kit has a 22x16 and the other 18x16. My custom will have a 20x16 because I believe for my playing they are the best. It's nice to have options, and it's a great feeling coming home after a gig and leaving the current set in the bags and jamming on your other that's already set up. Members MCWIEBKE
i dont see any point to having more than two. one for practice and one for shows. i myself only have one but if i got another i would keep my old one.
Members robmcwis
I'm up to three right now. I think I'm done. #1 - 1976 Ludwig Octoplus. This is a monster. Double bass, 8 mounted toms, 18" floor tom. Man I can't believe that I used to travel with this stuff, but we got to see the country together. I had a whole lot more hair, and a lot stronger back. #2 - Roland Pro-V's. It's all about using the right tool in the right place. When used in the right situation, these can't be beat. #3 - DW Collector Series. What can I say, I guess age has it's advantages.
Members danrothmusic
no one really needs more than 1 kitI have 2 because I kept my old Ludwigs when I got my nice Grestchs I also have an old Slingerland scotch-style bass and 2 matching marching snares...technically I could set up the bass and a snare with a cymbal and woodblock for a dixieland kit, giving me 3 sets (though I put 2 for the poll)

Members Majoria
I have two acoustic kits and an electric kit plus a drum machine. Only reason I have two acoustic kits is because I never sold the Pearl Export that I replaced 18 months ago. Primary acoustic kit is a Pacific FS with a Pearl Free Floating snare, PDP rack and DW pedals and hi-hat stand. Some may say its only a Pacific but it sounds better than many kits that are two or three times the price.

Members D Carroll
i only have my pacific fxr, great kit though. many people wrongfully hate on the pacific, it is not like squire or epiphone, in reality, dw is a custom brand, and is compared to other custom brands (i.e. pork pie, or spaun) and pacific is a factory brand, and should be compared to other factory brands (i.e. tama, or mapex)
