I've been browsing WWBW and I found this:

http://www.wwbw.com/Verve-Double-Bass-Drum-Pedal-(Closeout)-i625953.music

Just wondering if it's good for a beginner, I've looked at Vex's but they were on backorder. The Verve looks similar to the Vex plus it's cheaper. So are they good?

Also looking at heads, http://www.wwbw.com/Remo-Propak-12-13---16-Pinstripe-14-Powerstroke-3-PP-0312-PS-i113237.music

Tell me if it's good!

And also, what happens to the money in paypal if I don't use it? Goes back to the bank account or credit card?

Thanks!

If it's a balance on your PayPal account then it stays there until you use it. If and when you were to make a payment with PayPal it uses your balance first then goes to the related checking account to draw the balance if what you are paying for exceeds the balance in your PayPAl account. I've never had it use an associated credit card.

The pinstripes should do you just fine. They will be plenty muffled if that is the sound you are looking for. You should never any more muffling with those heads unless you want a dead sound which no one will hear if you are playing live. The pedals in that price range are pretty cheaply made considering other pedals. My friend uses the pulse double pedal and i liked that one so i would suggest that in the lower end price range.

Just a suggestion/reminder. If you are trying to get the tone of a recorded drum or a drum run through a PA, from a live unmic'd drum, you will never get it. A recorded drum or a drum going through a PA has been EQ'd, so frequencies have been boosted and decreased. So your drum may have that tone, but your ears aren't able to filter out/boost those frequencies. Just don't drive your self crazy trying to get a recorded tone from a live drum. Tune the drums to get the tone you like, and go from there. It will save you a lot of time and money.
