Members trueartinspires
I have skb cases for all of my drums and i love them, however i want to get a case for my pdp rack system. I was thinking either the large or xl hardware case would be good but i would love to hear everyones suggestions. Thanks
Members k7mto
I'd think any well built hardware case would work provided the pieces fit inside, but wouldn't you have to disconnect the sections and/or remove cymbal boom arms, etc? I don't own a rack, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of having a rack so that you don't have to break it down, ie, leave the tom mounts and boom cymbal arms attached so they are always in the same position and just fold the side sections in? It seems taking the rack apart and/or removing cymbal boom arms, etc. would defeat the purpose.
Members drummandamn
I only use Humes and Berg, they have lasted for almost 10 years.
Members cheeseadiddle
Those hard cases with the wheels on them are nice. I've been thinking of getting one myself. I have several hardware bags... and all are a pain in the ass to carry. But lately I've been looking at the rock 'n roller cart. I'll probably get that instead of the hard case. Members SYMBOLIC
What I do with my rack is put all the cymbal boom arms in a hard case made by protector, and the rack bars go into a gibralter rack bag. I keep the clamps on the bars.
Members cheeseadiddle
I only use the front and one wing of my rack. I take all of the cymbal arms off and the tom arm off [they are all memory locked and labeled], put them in one bag. I take the wing off, put it in the bag, and rest of the rack goes in my vehicle in one piece. I can have it set up or tore down this way in about 5 minutes.
