Members cheeseadiddle
It's apples and oranges. How can you compare them? I'd take both.
Members RumStik
Yeah, it's like saying...The Grass Roots vs. Deep Purple. Or...The Police vs. Queensryche.
Members GCR
Thats why I found it odd (Other than the fact that he kept referring to them as "The Led Zeppelin")... It's an interesting real time perspective. The host is just short of saying "The Beatles are gods and your music sucks."

I'd take The Led Zeppelin over the Beatles all day long, and Deep Purple over The Grass Roots and Queensryche over The Police. If I hear "Roxanne" or "Every Breath You Take" one more time I'm gonna puke, for real.

Members 1001gear
I'd take em over The Beatles any day...sue me. Beatles had the ruling class voodoo. Zep would have been toadified. Some things just are.
Members eddiedrums
zep ftw!! the beatles had the ability to churn out catchy hit-after-hit, but zep had 4 amazing musicians who were not only contributors to the composing of the songs, but were also multi-instrumentalists! led zeppelin IV over a hard days night anytime. Zep is the worst band I've ever seen live! Zep is great on the recordings if you can stand Robert Plant's voice for more than a few songs. The Beatles pawn Zep with an unbelievable variety of great songs. Talent too.

Members RumStik
I think Zep put out better Zep tunes, and the Beatles were the best producers of Beatles' music. Neither one could even come close to what Elvis did, and thank God for that.
Members Carminemw
I don't understand how you can compare the two at all...two completely different...times, styles, audiences, genres, EVERYTHING. They both RULE THEIR OWN DOMAIN...exemplary of what each is in their own right! I'd leave it at that!

Members selco13
That's a no brainer...The Police. Many people seem to forget The Police had more than two or three songs. They had albums full of great songs.
Members FullerBrushMan
Elvis was a hack....(and an embarassment) I love the Jazz disc jockey i was listening to one nite (I was travelling on one of the eastern turnpikes whilst doing deeds for a major US corp.) Anywhoo... he got a call.... from some piker who was concerned that it was Elvis' B'Day and what ever was being done to commemorate it! WELL he got on the mike and said he was gonna do what he does EVERY year for Elvis' B'Day.... NOTHIN'! He was jus gonna continue to play the JAZZ MAN! Queensryche or The Police... NEITHER THANKS! PASS ZEP or the Beatles? well I like 'em both but if you make me pick well....ZEP is where I live. Deep Purple or Grass Roots..that's like askin' whether you are a real rocker or a candy ass! Members quad17
both bands are legendary, but like others said above, you can't really compare the two. My favorite always was and always will be "the" Led Zeppelin, but I've grown to like the beatles more and more as I get older. Funny, my two daughters ages 5 and 8 both have the Beatles on their iPods.
