Even if you don't like Vistalite

Those vitalites are just way too much, it's very overwhelming to the eyes. I like a subtle look, that's why I was thrilled to find an all black, glossy finish set.

I'm not trying to be biased and saying DW is the best, but before I got my kit I looked through alot of catalogues and DW had the nicest finishes.

yum.... I'd rock the {censored} out of those!

Aren't those pretty, I don't think I've ever seen a finish like that before, the red to green fade sparkle is just freakin lovely. I like a little tackiness I guess, it makes for a fun show, something fun to look at from the audience. Like a skinny nerd drumming in a straw cowboy hat, they seem to like it for some reason... ;)

I will grant you the DW finishes though, they make some of the prettiest fades around.

You don't buy that kit because of how it looks. You buy that kit because you are a collector, and Tivoli kits are rare as hell. Notice how many bids there are? His reserve is probably in the 3k range, maybe higher. And if he lists them enough, he'll get that and maybe more for them. A working, nice Tivoli kit comes up on ebay about once every couple years.

And just as a base for reference of their rarity... They came out in '78 and were only produced for a year. I've never seen a figure of what percentage vista kits in '78 were Tivoli, but it wasn't like every 10th kit got the lights. Probably like every 100th kit or less.
