Members cheeseadiddle
My singing load has increased. Now I'm doing... The WeightUp on Cripple CreekLet's Work TogetherLittle HeadGreen River(The Forecast) Calls For PainWhite Room And the thing is... I'm finding it easier to sing the new tunes. When I first started with one tune, I really had to work at it. Now, as long as the lyrics are in front of me, I can get through a new tune. I may play the drum part pretty straight the first few times, but I'm not stumbling all over myself in the process. And I actually enjoy snatching these tunes up. One of the other guys was gonna sing White Room. I heard about two lines and I said... gimme the lyrics. Started belting it out. Everyone told me I was singing it. Kinda cool. Members cheeseadiddle
Oh... the guitar player that sat in with us last night said he had a pair of sticks that Levon gave to him after a gig. He pulled them out and showed them to me. Said he's carried them with his rig ever since... about 15 years ago. They were Ludwig Roy Haynes. He was an endorser from '50 to '88, so they had to be older than that.

Members manoeuver
I'll be singing from behind the kit again for the first time in about 8 years. one's a covers duo (guitar/drums) and the other's a 70's-style reggae project that's just getting rolling. Boom stand, mofos. Boom stand.

Keep it up! It is fun, isn't it, once you get the hang of it? In the one classic rock band I play in, I got roped into singing. I used to sing in college, (live theater), but playing and singing was a whole 'nother matter. They finally talked me into it. I'm singing lead on: Burnin' For You One of These Nights Dirty Work After Midnight I'm sure I'll get more tunes flung my way, but so far, so good. Members Bitter Dawn
Damn, good on ya man. I can't even play simple rythem guitar and "sing", and can't imagine doing so while drumming. I can't think of too many established artists that can, the only one that comes to mind is Don Henley and I just found a quote by him. "I could stand out front and sing Eagles songs that I sing in my set, but I think people enjoy watching me sing and play the drums. It seems to fascinate people. I don't know why."
