Members Mogwix
i am playin metal. toms top: Evans G2 Clear, or Remo Clear Emperortoms reso: Evans G1 Clear, or Remo Clear Ambassador snare top: Evans G1 Coated, or Remo Coated Ambassadorsnare side: Evans Hazy 300, or Remo Ambassador Hazy (snare side) bass front: Evans EQ4, Remo Powerstroke 3bass reso: Evans EQ3, Remo Powerstroke 3 This is the setup I use, works very well. Remo and Evans equivalent heads are both high quality, but they do have a slightly different sound. I play Evans heads now but would play Remo just the same. Members ibzprestige
My guitar center has a special with EQ4 heads, $15 for a 22" frosted, I picked one up when I bought my new kit and it was just lovely! I think I am going to go back and buy some more, that was one hell of a price, plus it came with a free evans clear patch.
