Members race81
Sounds like he is trying to recoup plus some,,,,,,,,,me I cant see how he even knows what its worth being he describes them as 80-ish in year.
Members SYMBOLIC
My guess is that he doesn't even have a clue as to what he has. Those don't look to be classics/super classics, and are more than likely rockers. I don't even think Ludwig made a 9" deep snare. I know they made/make a 8" and a 10", but not a 9". He's trying to shoot for the stars, and hopefully he realizes that he won't get what he's asking, unless he finds the right idiot.
Members Big Daddy
Could be a typo.......I was looking at a Ford Bronco on CL that was listed for $45,000 out of curiosity, and in the listing it stated the price was $4500.You never know.... Members turdadactyl
There's A LOT of people on the Philly craigslist looking to rip people off. It's a shame. Craigslist worked really well for me in DC. I don't think it's a typo. I think it's an a-hole.
Members manoeuver
maybe he doesn't want to sell them. "See, honey, I posted the damn ad. I'm doing my best to get rid of them, but nobody's buying!"

Members barny15
I've noticed in my area that people are putting music gear up for ridiculous prices lately. I think a lot of people are running into serious money issues with the way the economy has been, so they're looking to get as much money as possible out of their gear. And nobody has any money to pay stupid prices for used gear of course. That's one thing I've never been able to understand, selling used gear for practically new prices. My philosophy when selling used gear is that I've gotten some sort of use out of it and it's used gear, so I sell for a fair price. I don't let things go for nothing, but I always let stuff go for a great deal. maybe he doesn't want to sell them. "See, honey, I posted the damn ad. I'm doing my best to get rid of them, but nobody's buying!" That's genius! I'll have to remember that one.

Members Majoria
Considering all the typos in the ad, he can't be that bright. Considering his choice of verbiage ("seat" instead of "throne", etc), he's not a seasoned drummer.
Members drumtechdad
Or he could be one of these, ahem, young people who believe anything made before they were born is "vintage."

Members 1001gear
Maybe it's a trick. You get the shoppers calling just to establish the price, then quoting on the high side wont hit as hard. or not...
