Members D Carroll
I will start by saying, I hate vic firth sticks... They just don't feel right to me, but I was looking for some new brushes, and these things are perfect, nice and thick wires, defiantly made with a modern drummer in mind
Members cearleywine
I have a hard time liking sticks that aren't vic firth, I use their brushes too although I haven't had many options locally.
Members FitchFY
I have a pair of VF brushes that I am very fond of, though they've taken a back seat to the Silverfox brushes I acquired recently. The VFs are bright and full sounding, though -- a VERY good buy!
Members sunspot
break em in and they'll do fine. Another tip, spray finger ease on the wires.
Members cearleywine
haven't heard that before, what is it?
Members sunspot
haven't heard that before, what is it? It's a lubricant/cleaner for guitar strings. It makes the wires slide in and out a lot easier.
Members barny15
Those are the exact brushes I use. Best brushes I've ever had, and I've gone through tons of 'em. Not only are they really durable, they feel good as well.
Members D Carroll
I also have a pair of pro mark brushes, they feel the best, but they wore down to pure {censored} over a few years... these feel like they are going to last. Members lossforgain
VF brushes do last, I've had a pair for years. But my very favorite brushes are the Regal Tip Jeff Hamilton brushes. My old drum teacher is a friend of JH's and if anyone's interested he told me the story of how JH's signature brushes were developed. No I'm not setting you up for a joke.
