Not fancy complicated, but really really fun to play, anyway, went to reach up for my 16 A thin for a quick stop, and somehow jammed the cymbal under my middle finger nail.. DAMN THAT HURT!!! Sliced open my 2 first knuckles 4 months ago when I smashed them into the hi-hats. I didn't notice it right away, until I saw that the white snare head and first tom were absolutely covered in blood. I only looked down when I kept feeling something wet hitting me in the face. I thought there was a leak in the roof or something. What a goddamned mess. 3rd song of the night too. THATS WHY YOU KEEP DUCT TAPE IN YOUR GIG BAG. I taped up the knuckles and after a quick face wipedown with my guitarists string rag (GROSS) I kept playing. Missed about 7 minutes. Yes, and when it would happen to me it would startle me because your foot gets sucked forward. Only happened a few times, and now if my shoes have long laces they get tucked into the top of my shoe. Never had the fingernail choke bite, but probably will now that I have typed it. Not an injury, but what is really embarrasing to me is that I have really bad vision and occasionally I will catch part of my glasses with a stick and off they go, then when the song is over I do my best to squint and find them quickly.
