So Moby Dick came on the radio when I was in the gym last week....

The gym is a horrible place to get opinions on music. I'm sure if Kanye came on they'd have had a blast.

^^. Ive given up on talking about music with people at my school as well. 99% of them won't even listen to something that isn't hip hop, pop, or on a popular radio station.

I often wonder what people are listening to on their MP3 players as they run on the treadmills and ellipticals. I try to watch TV or else I talk to myself.... mental dialog on the treadmill that is....sometimes I try to work out polyrhythms based on the sounds of the machines and the speed of my gait.

The music at my gym is {censored}.

c'mon man, you shocked someone doesn't get moby dick? especially at a gym? let's face it, but the general public doesn't appreciate real music, let alone a friggin' drum solo! i think that's what' cj's trying to say...

We know you're a cool guy, i think you're aware of the stereotype that can be found in the gym. You know...THAT guy.

He's reffering to those types. The dude who listens to Disturbed "cauz it leik pumps me up and i get mad rep's on that mashine".

H'bout just interesting? I remember when I was into Buddy Rich I couldn't get enough of his solos. They always kept moving and even developing. Even the long ones had a structure and moved along with rhythmic wit. And there was always the amazing hands effect. None of the rock guys displayed any of those qualities to any appreciable degree.
