Heads Up/Great Article

I'm always searching for information and insight on how to improve my skills, so 3 years ago I joined PASIC. I'm just a teacher and a drumset player, I've never played in a drumline or played marimba or timpani or anything like that. Many of the articles in PASIC's "Percussive Notes" magazine are about more formal drumming than the stuff that I do, but every now and then I'll find a pearl that I can relate to. If you have a chance and you can get your hands on the November 2009 editon, there is a great article and interview with Vinnie Colaiuta and he discusses his concept of music. Very insightful.
