Members Big Daddy Posted February 9, 2010 Members Share Posted February 9, 2010 Okay folks, here is the deal. I have been asked to consider entering the race as a candidate for city council. I think I am going to do it, but I was curious if anyone here has any experience in running for public office. I will be facing an incumbent, but he is not well liked, especially by the other council members. So, if any of you have experience in this type situation OR if you have some ideas for a good campaign slogan ( might as well make this a FUN thread as well ) let me know. It'll be a total pain in the ass, and you'll be the ear of all who have a bitch about the city ("There's a street sign at the end of my block that is hangin' 3.25 degrees from bubble level. ..fix it"). . . but, some could see it as a duty, if asked. Whatever you do, DO NOT use the word CHANGE! Maybe something like "Daddy is Different! Oh yeah, please promise "a custom drum set in every drummer's basement" and should go over well. Plus be ready for more public eyes and background checks than ever. "next on news at 11, did city council canidate Big Daddy really cheat on his spelling test in sixth grade?"
