Members Carpathian
I bought this at a yard sale for $1. It was brand new in box and plastic bag. I can't find any prices on this anywhere. It's a Pulse 3.5 x 14 Snare. Should I keep it or resell it? http://drums-percussion.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pulse-Steel-Piccolo-Snare?sku=444557
Members nklarow
Pulse drums usually aren't the greatest but for $1, I'd keep it as a backup just to have around. A piccolo can get some pretty cool sounds.
Members Carpathian
I knew that pulse wasn't that great, but for a dollar. Thanks for the input
Members rdrummer322
I believe this was the piccolo snare Musician's Friend was blowing out for $39. Not a bad buy, a little muffling to cut back the ringy overtones and your good to go. For a buck? That's like Christmas..
Members Carpathian
Slapped another head on it but the 2-ply sounded like crap. Didn't sound bad with the stock single-ply coated and I'm sure it will sound even better with a G1 or Ambassador. I don't need anymore snares. I have 5 which is not many by some standards but {censored} how many can I play at one time.

Members Carpathian
cheap beer gives me headaches. I'd rather trade it for a small crown bottle. Either way you're right about being ahead
