Members ptfitzy
I have a "Roland SPD-11". I am totally lost on how to program this. The manual is even more confusing. So Far I did this:Push :Layer" Button so either Bank A or B is lit.Push "Edit" so Bank A is flashing.Push "Select" so the red light under "Sound" is lit in Red.Hit the Pad you want the sound on.Push the "Patch Value" button up or down to find the sound you want for the first Pad. OK. Do I hit the Pad first and then go to the sound I want? When I turn it off and then turn it back on, I've lost what I've programmed. How do I get it back. Also, when I hit a Pad the number 1,2,3 etc. shows on the "Indicator light". What are these for?On some of those numbers, some Pads have no sound on them. Others show either Bank A, B or both Banks lit with the "Effects" lights on.And finally, what does "Copy" and "All Enter" mean. I've been told that you can program a bunch of sounds in this Pad. I would be so grateful to just program 8 Pads on Bank A and 8 Pads on Bank B.Possibily someone could help me via E Mail. I only have the Pad and no other accessories with it. I play a 70's 5 Piece Slingerland Marine Pearl set.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ptfitzy
Members kmart
I don't have the SPD-11 anymore, but from memory I think I can answer the following: And finally, what does "Copy" and "All Enter" mean. I've been told that you can program a bunch of sounds in this Pad. I would be so grateful to just program 8 Pads on Bank A and 8 Pads on Bank B.Possibily someone could help me via E Mail. Members the DW
...Hit the Pad you want the sound on. Push the "Patch Value" button up or down to find the sound you want for the first Pad. OK. Do I hit the Pad first and then go to the sound I want? Yes. You have to tell the 'brain' which pad you want to program, then select the sound you want that pad to have by using the Patch Value buttons. You then change the Patch Value up or down, then hit the pad again to see what it is you have selected. When you find the sound you want, 'save' it, then proceed to the next pad and repeat this process. ...On some of those numbers, some Pads have no sound on them. Others show either Bank A, B or both Banks lit with the "Effects" lights on. If there is no sound on a given pad, it means that no sample has been assigned to that pad for that particular 'kit' number. Just assign it something using the above procedure. Programming something like this is a long process. Just go step by step, and you'll get it done!
Members JimmyNZ
I still use an SPD-11 for rehearsal. the DW and Kmart are quite right, just take your time. also if you have just bought it, put a new battery in it before you start saving patches. it's a bit of a mission, but if you take your time and don't rush it you will be fine.
