Members devinw
Howdy gang! I just thought I'd share that I ate at Chipotle for lunch on Thursday and about 2 hours later I was achey, hot, and generally feeling {censored}ty. Went home early from work and proceeded to spend the next 11 or so hours puking every 45 minutes or so. I puked so hard that I broke blood vessels under my eyes. It was the worst I have EVER felt. The next day I couldn't hold down any solid food but started to feel a bit better. Unfortunately I had my FIRST gig with my new project yesterday and we couldn't get a practice in before hand due to me being all but dead, but it actually went pretty well. Everyone had great things to say and we got people dancing so I'm really happy. Our instrumental cover of "Needy Girl" by Chromeo was a smash hit... Couldn't believe how many people were getting into it. Anywho, anyone else ever get food poisoning like I described? You think it's salmonella or something?? {censored} was horrible. Members nklarow
Yeah I ate some nasty Chinese food once. And it was when my leg was broken, so come three in the morning I'm crawling on the floor trying not to bang my leg into anything while making my way to the bathroom. Spent the entire night in there puking so violently that it somehow opened a hole in my throat, so by morning my puke was watery and bloody. Spent the entire day in my crutches laying in the bathroom. That night it got better and I was able to eat soup, crackers, etc... But man, that was {censored}ty. Literally. Members marko46
Man DJ sorry to hear that. Yea I've had it in FL when I was living there- Bad/spoiled fish. 24 hours of projectile vomiting. No fun and you want to just die. As bad or worse that detoxing from illicit drugs which I can personally attest sucks right there in the same category. So the moral is don't eat spoiled food if you can control it and never ever get strung out. Rough going. On an up note, I feel pretty good today folks. Stay well all. Oh, really glad to hear the new gig went well for ya. That's great to hear especially under those circumstances.
Members devinw
Christ, nklarow and marko that sounds {censored}in' awful. I feel like I can sympathize though now after this little experience. Ugh. Just noticed its been 4 days since the initial symptoms and my ribs and chest are still sore from heaving so hard. Yuck. Members nklarow
Yours sounds pretty damn horrifying as well! Hahaha, I wish food poisoning upon nobody, it's quite up there in terms of crappy experiences. Hope your feeling better now, in a few more days you'll be back to normal

Members JakeTheSnake
Sorry to hear about the sickness, but glad your gig went well We've never had to deal with food poisoning... But having to play two shows in one day during the latter part of June where one gig is outside at 2 P.M. in 90+ degree heat with high humidity and the other is in a warehouse with only a few fans running, things can get rough. Members irnbru83
I got the same thing from "chicken diablo" (yeah, i should've guessed it was bad news) from Central Market. It was frustrating as fk when I'd drink gatorade and then vomit it right back up 15 minutes later. Also, i agree with the intensity of the puking. This isn't a "it's 4am and i drank one shot too many" kinda puking. This the "holy {censored} my organs are trying to jailbreak out through my mouth". Also, alternating between violent vomiting and fiery diarrhea for 24 hours is less than brilliant. I was first in line at the emergency clinic the next morning and the doc basically said, "the worst is over and you're not dead yet. Go home, drink water, and sleep."
