Members Big Daddy Posted May 16, 2011 Members Share Posted May 16, 2011 Update on my dad. They discovered the reason for the stroke was congestive heart failure. The dr told him most folks that have as severe an episode as he did are either dead or on a respirator so he was BEYOND lucky. He is scheduled for a heart cath today. We spent yesterday with him and he is doing remarkably well. He has regained nearly all his strength on his left side. He also walked down the hall on his own and has been walking to the restroom. To be where he is now from the shape he was in on Thursday night is a blessing. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts and please keep them coming.
