Enter Music Publishing Plays In The Community; DRUM! Night for Lincoln Highschool

I thought that any of the drummers in this forum, who live in the Bay Area, might be interested in this. DRUM! Magazine, in conjunction with The San Jose Jazz Festival, will be conducting DRUM! Night.

What's cool about DRUM! Night is that all of the proceeds will be given to San Jose-based Lincoln Highschool. Personally, I think events like this are important, especially when you consider the demise of music education in grammar schools and highschools.

Maybe it's me or something, but I do think that events like this are important. The question that I ask is:

Did you play in a marching band or jazz band in highschool?

If so, did it result in aiding your career?
