Members r05c03
Okay, so I picked up a used 1960's White Hall kit for my 6.5 year old. It has a snare, kick, tom, and ride (high hats too but I do not have the cymbals for that yet) He can play a steady four count on the snare, kick, and ride on time and I play bass along with him...however aside from getting more steady and faster at that, I cannot really help him progress very far on the drums...I have the remnants of a hobby studio (computer and studio monitors) and I can set him up in front of a computer screen and he can play the audio over the speakers so that he can practice easily along with video. I need suggestions for a good, simple, clear, but hopefully engaging instructional video that he can begin to practice more seriously with. Any suggestions? Thanks. I saw a review in the current issue of Drumhead magazine and I think there may be a DVD as well. I'm not sure what the age range is. Good luck.
