Peavey Envoy 110 Guitar Amplifier with TransTube Technology

Sound Quality

This amp does have a pretty decent clean tone, but it isn't spectacular. I've only found one or two settings that I really like, but they are pretty good. There isn't too much background noise, but when the clean channel is on you will hear some noise if the gain or volume for the distortion channel are set high. The clean channel is good up to about 5 or 6, but the distortion never gets very nasty.

Reliability/Durability

This amp has never given me any trouble, and I bought it used. I've turned everything up to ten, and it works fine. It's a Peavey, so it would still work if you threw it down the stairs. I would trust it to do several gigs in a row and never break down.

General Comments

This was my first amp, so now I know a lot more about tone than I once did. I don't know if I'd buy this one again, I might look for a small Fender or something. Still, it has been pretty good for an entry level amp. It's served me faithfully, and does have a half-decent sound.
