The Alvarez AD60SC has that warm sound associated with solid mahogany back and side. The solid spruce top does a fine job of projection the sound. Plugged into a PA is where she shines. The 600T MK II Pickup System is made for the performing musician. It does an outstanding job of reproducing an acoustic guitar tone and provides a broad range of sonic control, mixing capability for different combinations of piezo/magnetic/microphone transducers, and features on-board digital chromatic tuner.

I have owned the Alvarez AD60SC for a year and have zero issues. I have owned (and have setup) several Alvarez guitars over the years with no major issues.
General Comments
A Taylor 714CE with Fishman Prefix Blender and a Taylor 810 Custom are my primary gig axes. I would not place the Alvarez AD60SC in the same league as Taylor, but it is a solid compromise to taking a $4-$5-k guitar on a gig. It has an excellent pickup system with all the bells and whistles. When you plug it into a PA system the instrument comes to life and it becomes apparent that this guitar is designed for the working musician.
