I've seen a handful of live bands in the last month, mostly local. Two of them had twenty-something female singers. Both were composted of 60 - 75 year old musicians. Both gals had gum in their mouths for the entire time I was there. When they weren't singing lead on a song, they were chomping on their gum. Verse, chomp chomp, chorus, chomp chomp ... it was both distracting and unappealing.

Thoughts?

Sounds nasty, Cherri. Maybe they were going thru 'text-message-withdrawal' and just had to keep active...

Were they just a bunch of Susan Tedeschi wanna-be's or did they bring something original to the table?

Oh, and 60 - 75 year old musicians...that's a lot of 75 year-old musicians! Musta been crowded up there...

Maybe it was invisible cocaine induced gum? You know .... singers.

Hey...watch it now!!! I've seen Dave Grohl and Geoff Tate chompin' on gum onstage. I've done it when I have a "scratchy" throat from a cold or allergies...keep's the pipes "lubed up". But if somebody is onstage chewin' it like a Cow chewin' CUD....especially a lady, well......
