Falsetto Problems

I am 56. I sang professionally through my twenties and thirties in lounge/bar bands. Regardless whether or not you like falsetto singing, it is required in some songs if you want to cover them accuratlly. Tiny Dancer comes to mind. Lots of Beatles stuff etc. Any way, some time in my forties, my falsetto just went away. Of course I smoked and drank etc. I can still sing, no problem, even full voice upper register stuff, But nothing when I try for a falsetto. Is it bad living, age, or have I just forgotten how to do it?
