DiMarzio DP112 Pre B-1 Tele Bridge Pickup

Sound Quality

[Perceived output level] If I recall, somewhat louder than the pickup replaced. Certainly a little too great when compared with standard (still in place) neck p-ups, but bridge/neck sounds cool. [Tone] Ideal twangy tele-rock; when backed off on volume nice twangy tele-country. Think Roy Buchanan. [Sonic evaluation] If you like "traditional" (I shudder at the term "vintage") Telecaster sounds, this'll do it. I play in a loud and sloppy trio, with a loud and sloppy drummer, and a VERY loud and sloppy bassist, and have always felt that this pickup cn cut through with authority. I can't say the same for my Strat with standard Fenders [Tejas, here I come]. [For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable]
