We also have a CD/DVD that costs us $2 each to be made. Sell that for $10 to $15. BTW, it use to cost more 10 years ago. Prices are only getting better! Members No Arrow_Dann Posted April 1, 2008 Members Share Posted April 1, 2008 all the places I check out want 1000 copies done for like 700-1000 dollarsi just dont have that kind of money to spend on the duplication/replicating process! when in reality all we need done is just maybe about 200-300 CDs done up with nothing on them since we're just using adhesive labels and paint for the CD labels anyways...! on top of that the cost for inserts is not too terrible (200 bux pro job) I dunno man...maybe im just looking in the wrong places or people are keeping secrets from me, perhaps you could hook me up with the source your band is using? it would be appreciated greatly....my band no arrow should really get cracking on our CD release and this month might be it! anyways...any info you can provide would be helpful. I don't assume anything I know can be done. If they band is lazy, they wont sell anything. You are correct through, no everyone has $1K laying around. There is no setup costs, and they keep your album on file so any time you want more copies, you can get them. There's not a required amount you have to get either, you can order 1 cd or 87. The quality is pretty good as well. The only downside is that you only get a 2 sided insert, but most people don't mind anyway, and it makes it cheaper for you. I forgot to mention, you can 'publish' your cd with their site. Instead of say, cdbaby, where you have to send them cd's and they take 3 dollars off, after you've already payed for manufacturing costs, with kunaki people can order your cd directly from their page. They take out the $1.75 to manufacture it then take care of shipping it for you. Its really a nice deal! Minimize the cost of production and you can make more profit in the end. Just do it: http://www.kunaki.com/ They make as many or as few (even just one!) copies of your CD as you wish. You upload your files to them, they keep everything on their server, and they make the CD's on demand. Shrink-wrap, bar-code, the whole deal.
