General Comments
This pr800s is Gibson being cheeky, its basically a copy of a Martin D series very close to a D 42 and a feature or two from a Gibson J35. I bought this in a pawnshop in Sydney Aust somewhere in the ninties and it sounded better than anything else on the rack that day but did have a few problems, firstly one end of a brace in the spuce top would vib/hum when strumming and the other doozey was the bridge placement wasnt correct for the scale length( which i can only imagine that Martin,Gibson,Epiphone had different scale lengths and the factory worker had grab the wrong bridge jig for this guitar)  anyway after about 20 years of collecting dust in a corner I corrected these mistakes and set up the guitar properly ( truss rod, fret work , lowering the saddle) and put a set of 80/20 Elxir string ,, Wow iam truely amazed just how good this guit sounds , the spuce and rosewood have punch for strummed chords and good volume and tone for picking, so if your thinking about selling yours maybe think again , if wondering whether to buy one yourve seen, jump on it, set up properly,  decent strings and you have guitar with some quality timbers and sound for a fraction of the price of what it was copied from , ( Martin D series) no less,,, the pr800s was Gibson Epiphone top of the line in the day for a Korean made .
