Members chamcham
Hello Everyone. It's been one year since I started my voice lessons. I had my recital last month. Nerves got the best of meand I don't think I did so well (although some peoplesaid they really liked the first song I sang). I was full of confidence before the recital. Then, one hour before the recital, I just broke down and mynerves took over. So one new year resolution I have is to get used to singing in front of a group.I have the choice of either joining a choir (not a church choir) or taking group vocal lessons. Both groups are about the same size. The choir is all male and there are no auditions.Rehearsal is once per week. Group vocal lessons are divided into beginner, beginner/intermediate, and intermediate levels. They are 2 beginner, 1 beginner/intermediate, and 1 intermediate classes every week. $15. 75 mins. I am happy with the progress I've made so far with my private lessons and look forward to this year. So doing the choir or group lessons would be more for singing in front of people and maybe making some friends who are also interested in singing. It probably doesn't matter, but the choir is taught by a former conductor and the group lessons are taught by a vocal coach. Anyone have experience with choirs and/or group lessons?Any advice or comments would be great. Thanks.
