Members Ripfence
I was working on some pitch training and trying to do some wide space barber shop sounding harmonies and while I was recording I sang (among other notes) the C below middle C, middle C and the C above middle C. Not that it really matters but I started to wonder would that be considered 2 octaves or 3? I'm thinking 2 because only 24 half tones separate the three Cs, is that right? Members grace_slick
Yeah, it's 2 full octaves. You're doing 3 separate C notes but they encompass 2 total octaves, you know?

Thanks, that is what I thought. It might be interesting to try the same experiment and stretch it out to 3 octaves to see how it sounds.
