Looking for something like the Harmony G but not for playing guitar through, just for singing through. Can the Harmony G be used without a guitar? Also something that doesn't feedback like crazy would be good too, my band plays metal and we are fairly loud. I'm currently using a spring reverb guitar pedal but I've heard that the signal it puts out isn't correct for going into a PA for vocals although it seems to work okay. I mainly just want reverb but delay and maybe a few other basics could be nice. Can't spend $400-500+.

Guitar center used gear, craigslist, ebay.

I saw a Digitech 300 on Craigslist a few months ago for $100 but I've heard a lot of bad things about those. Can you recommend any other models to look for? Most of the people I know in bands who sing just go dry during practice and then rely on sound people for reverb or whatever live. I'm not even sure that most venues even provide reverb for singers. I usually hear very little at rock and metal shows. Basically I'm saying I'm mostly clueless. I just know that it pretty much sounds like I'm talking when I sing without effects yet in my car I seem to sound okay

GC Used Gear section has 3 VOC300s for 120 bucks right now. I think theres a return policy on the used gear so you can try it for a week to see if you like.

otherwise, it's hard to find good equipment for cheap.

is there no way to rig the hot signal to the PA to match impedances. ask in the electronics technical forum.

Thanks. Maybe I'll go with one of those although right now I don't need all of that fancy stuff. Does anyone make something more basic for around $100?

Used Vocal 300 or chain a delay guitar pedal to your reverb one. That's about all I can recommend on your budget.

Yeah mostly written by people who don't a thing about mixing sound.

If your budget is only $100 you would be a fool to ignore the 300 as an option. The 300 is fine - I used one for many years. Just watch your input gain and master volume, zero your EQ, let the mixer handle all the levels.

If you are using different effects/patches, try to normalize the volume on the patches so there are not big dips or spikes in volume between patches you use.
