Members Oaksong
I... can't sing particularly well... at all. But, I would like to be able to! At least to do backing vocals when needed by the band. When I do sing, people like my voice (baritone) but unless I have another voice to follow, I can't generate a specific pitch, nor can I tell if I am "on key" with just music in the background. Anyway, I was thinking about getting some sort of singing course. I found this:http://www.kentamplinvocalacademy.com/ I wonder if anybody has any experience with this or similar products? Members Jersey Jack
Ken seems quite good. He had fair amount of stuff on YouTube a while back, and if it's still there you can check it out for yourself before committing. I think he's primarily a contemporary Christian vocalist, so if that turns you off you may want to look elsewhere. To be fair, though, I never saw anything in his videos that even mentioned his religious views.
Members Oaksong
Well, I don't like contemporary christian music (give me old fashioned Bach if you are gonna get all religious-y), but I also don't care as long as he can get the job done. Mainly I am concerned about the quality of instruction.
