Members Al Koehn
I just lost a wonderful friend, and the music world lost an amazingly talented singer-songwriter. Some of you may remember the heavy metal band from the 70s, Crimson Glory. Midnight, the original lead singer was my student for over 4 years, and my friend for much longer. He died in Sarasota, FL today. Like so many talented musicians he was unable to kick the alcohol addiction which began so early in his life. Midnight helped me give up drinking almost 20 years ago when I was heavily addicted. Sadly, he couldn't beat his own problems. I believe I'd be dead today if I hadn't listened to friends like Midnight, and to my heart. I make this statement to perhaps lead some musicians out there to listen to their friends and their hearts and make moves to give that stuff up if there are ANY signs of problems. Thanks for indulging me. You can hear Midnight and Crimson Glory by going to http://www.myspace.com/crimsonglory Check out a song called "Lonely." Members SevenString
Al, I am so sorry to hear this. I know he was a great friend to you, and you have my sincere condolences. I myself was a fan of his, and of Crimson Glory, and think he was a wonderful, talented singer. It is tragic that alcohol is what got him, but I am at least grateful that you avoided the same fate. I will listen to some Crimson Glory tonight in his memory.
Members WinosaurJR
That's really sad, man. It seems as though the people that help others the most with their addictions end up losing to theirs.. He's got my prayers. May he be wailing up in heaven with the best of 'em. Members MusicalSchizo
When I lived in Jacksonville, one of my bandmates was a big Crimson Glory fan, and when he made a mix CD of stuff for me, there were a bunch of their songs on there - they were great. I'm really sorry for your loss, Al. I hope his loved ones find peace. Brian V.

Crimson Glory wrote one of my most favorite songs of all time. If you are into mystical, metaphysical, or esoteric lyrics - there is nobody that I've found that can touch them. Transcendence The snow was gently fallingA white mist filled the airI hear the cold wind callingSomething's waiting there I stand alone in silenceupon the mountain highI'm waiting for the spiritsEyes upon the sky They whisper in my visionsThey haunt me in my dreamsThey've shown me worlds that shimmerand peaceful fields of green Try to find you skyYour world within yourself In death I've found the answerIn death I've found the answerIn death I live againFear not the reaper's bladeIt does not mean the endIt never really ends
Members shredhead7
I'm sorry and saddened to hear of his death. He was my absolute favorite singer when I was in high school and wanted to be able to sing like him. I would've sold my soul at the time. A great and tragic loss...
