Recording Collaboration

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but.... I'm looking for singers that would like to contribute to a long distance recording project. I've seen lots of collaboration on instrument specific forums but nothing with vocalists. The project we're working on has gone through, and used a few singers trying to find the right fit for some varied rock material.

I would like to be able to send an MP3 file to a vocalist (or five), have them sing and record their part and return (via FTP) a 24bit uncompressed mono WAV file of the vocal track to be added to the project. We have lyrics for some of the material but are willing to edit depending on style or accept all new lyrics if the vocalist wishes to participate at that level. Our goal is music placement, not performance. Of course all the rights/royalties legal crap that comes with that too, unfortunately.

Could someone point me in a direction?

Thanks

Might be interested if I like the music. Can you send a link?

And I'm just wondering... what does this mean?

Split sheets. This will only be required if a vocalist makes a significant contribution to the lyrics entitling them to a share of songwriting and/or publishing rights.

You'd be surprised how many times recording collaborations (usually within bands) get into hot water because someone because they suggested the word 'blue' rhymed better than the word 'true' in the second verse and sued believing they were entitled to a portion of the songwriting credit. The old 'add a word, get a third' mentality.

It's a headache and worth hiring a lawyer if the split sheets get too convoluted.

We will listen to samples in the links provided by anyone repsonding to this request (or requests on other messageboards) and contact people we're interested in.

Thanks everyone.
