Members 5THSINGER
I was wondering what some vocalists thought of the latest G N' R release Chinese Democracy. It definetly is NOT a Appetite for Destruction rehash! Anybody hear it? Thoughts on Axl's performance???
Members romvert
Never listened to it; heard one on the radio, and thought it was alright, nothing special, other than maybe, production. He can't do the raspy disconnected head that he had back when bathing in the White & Booze pool... More importantly, I call my son's rather bullyish friend/playground nussance, chinese democracy. Democracy being his first name... when I'm there. When I'm not, it becomes more chinese...

Members mcmurray
Just gave it another listen last night. "There was a time" is an amazing tune, probably even surpassing anything that Slash has done in terms of guitar solos. Never listened to it; He can't do the raspy disconnected head that he had back when bathing in the White & Booze pool... Wait, you're saying he can't do the raspy head and you've only listened to one song on the album? Riiiight.
Members Consume
I heard it and didn't really care for it. If he had released it 15 years ago, I'd have probably liked it, but I got tired of GNR really early in their career. After Appetite for Destruction, I didn't really care for them - they had a few songs during the Use Your Illusion period that I liked, but for the most part I'm just not into that style of music.
