Members Steven Vincent
Can someone tell me what are the typical harmony intervals in country music, I know there are a lot of 3rd and 5th but there is one "golden"harmony that eludes me, any insight would be great
Members Jersey Jack
I'm guessing here, as I've never heard of this special harmony, but it could be a moving harmony--that is a voice that slides from the 2nd to the 3rd or from the 4th to the 5th while the melody holds the root. Something like this is the formula for pedal steel imitations, whether through bends on the Telecaster or through the Floyd Cramer style of country piano playing. Pure speculation--I could be way off base, however.
Members micwalt
They're the same as in pop music, for the most part, but they throw in some sus2 and sus4 moving stuff occasionally.
