Members Jack Dotson
Looking for decent decent budget vocal multieffects. I want something decent that's a good bang for the buck with some nice effects options. This will only be used at home for entertainment running into a portable Yamaha Stagepass 300 PA so I don't want to go overboard, but do want something that sound pretty good. There seems to be so many options out there that it's hard to tell where to begin. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Members Terry Allan Hall
I perform w/ a Digitech Vocalist Live 2, which is pretty handy. It adds up to two harmony voices a 3rd above or below, a 5th above or below and/or two unisons voices, and you can mix-or-match whatever combination suits you (I mostly just go w/ a 3rd above, though). There's also a VL4 model, which gives you up to 4 voices...great for Beach Boy tunes. OTOH, the Digitech Vocalist 300 has a lot of fun, but often silly, effects...robot, cyborg, chipmunk, etc., but also some decent delays and EQ settings...not something I'd gig w/ but a lot of fun for karaoke or at parties. Members Jersey Jack
I use T.C. Helicon's VoiceTone pedals: The Correct for compression/EQ and Create for reverb/delay, etc. They work really well and are intuitive and easy to use. They go for $250 or so each. (If you want harmony that's another pedal, I'm afraid.) But you don't specify your budget. Vocal effects are more expensive that guitar effects, so I'm not sure you'll be able to find anything decent under #300 or so.

Members deMille
Currently a Digitech Vocalist Live 2 but I'm looking at the Helicon G since it has the ability to hold a harmony note in the background while you continue or "tweak" your lead vocal. I try to use it very low key. Enough to sound different than everyone else but not enough to be out of place like a solo trying to sound like a choir.
