The gold plating used nowadays is so thin that sonically it doesn't add anything. Feel wise though is different. The gold warms up faster than the silver and does have a slightly softer feel on the lips. It is very beneficial for those that have allergies to brass. My personal opinion, if it feels good and it makes you feel better to have the gold MP then go for it. To me, half of this stuff is in our mind and the mind is a powerful tool so use it to your advantage. As above, almost all of my MP's are either gold or stainless. I like the gold and will probably continue to purchase gold in the future if I buy any more MP's. Aw who am I kiddin, of course I'll buy more MP's.
