Pro Tools for DJ mixes?

Hey all, got a DJ mix CD to get done, I normally mix live into Wavelab and use that for editing any faults and mastering. I've always fancied trying to do something on Pro Tools but found it prohibitively expensive considering the results I get without it. I have an Audiophile sound card so was delighted to hear about the M-Powered version, at £200 it seems pretty good value so I d'loaded the demo and it just crashes my machine every time, d'loaded all driver updates etc to no avail. My queries are A: Has anyone had the same problem / know a solution and B: Does anyone use alternative software professionally for the same purpose?

do it with ableton, it's different, more like production than djing, but the mix will be flawless, once you get good. Should take you no more than two weeks to get to grips with the program.
