  1. I'm selling my trusty Digitech RP1000. I was using it direct to the board at church. I've since switched back to an amp and I have an itch for another guitar, so I'm selling this for the guitar fund.It is, dare I say, in "like new" condition after all these years. The only places it was ever used were home and church. This thing is solid; built like a tank. It's running the latest firmware from the "Must Be Beta" site for those in the know about that. It sounds great, even by today's standards. While it can be used as a stand-alone system, it was specifically designed to work well with 4CM (4 cable method) in mind with both an effects loop and an amp loop. So you have the benefit of using this along with your own amp and pedals in a very flexible setup.I've verified that the editor software still works on my Windows 11 computer. I'll include a USB drive with that software, the latest driver from the Digitech site as well as all of the available RP1000 patches from the Digitech site. Additionally, there is a 3rd party app called RPXplorer that allows you to simply view the data from a patch as well as convert patches from other RP units to the RP1000, and vice versa.I'm including a Gator gig bag that has also served me well. The RP1000 fits like a glove.Approximate 80 different effects, over 50 amp models and 25 cab models. Unfortunately, this was made before impulse responses were a thing, so no IR support. Here's the info from the Digitech site:More than a multi-effects processor, the RP1000 features a switchable, external stompbox loop as well as an external amp loop that enables the RP1000 to easily connect and control external gear. The RP1000 also features an Amp/Cabinet bypass button that removes the RP1000’s internal amplifiers and cabinet effects leaving only the RP1000’s internal stompboxes and effects or 200 individual pedalboards. The RP1000 offers over 160 internal stompboxes, effects, amps and cabinets including the famous DigiTech® Whammy™. The RP1000 is also built for the stage with heavy-duty cast metal chassis, and 14 metal plunger switches. To top off the RP1000, a 20-second phrase looper allows the user to easily record, and overdub tracks for one-man band performances, writing and practicing. Control of the full-time phrase looper can be expanded with DigiTech’s optional FS3X optional foot controller.GuitarProShop demo - https://youtu.be/OeSlnvYPYnU
  2. I listened to them until I was old enough to realize that their awful attempts at evangelism were no less of a gimmick than guys tapping out scale runs. Stryper is a case study of why good songwriters write rock songs about Christianity and bad songwriters write Christian rock. While I can agree with you somewhat I would still argue that such a blanket statement is an over simplification. I'd ask you to clarify what a "good songwriter" is by your definition. Can you give some examples in today's popular music? It is true that a lot of CCM is derivative in nature, but so is A LOT of today's pop and rock music.
  3. personally, the best high gain Marshall tones available in those amps come from the Soldano SLO model, IMO. I really like that one. Was my favorite model in my Tonelab SE as well.
