  1. I have a tone-master, I like it. One of the best amps of all time.
  2. Tremoverb isn't mind but I got a Rectoverb that I don't have a pic of so just think of that. Also, don't have the Stiletto anymore... Prior to a set of V30s and a BLackface and SL+ mod...
  3. Originally posted by Switch yeah I hear the same thing around the traps about intel chipsets and cpu's working well together. What I want is a list of viable options for audio work for intel chipsets, and their acceptable cpu's. Also, does anyone have an opinion on the new(er) Core or Duo Core cpu's? Are they worth the extra cash? From what I've read, the new Intel Core Duo (or whatever they're called) CPUs pretty much smoke anything else out there. Not to mention uses less energy and generates less heat.
  4. Originally posted by SKYNETRP Yeah, but they are still the same as the Carvins or Marshalls as far as their actual wattage, I have looked at the specs on all of them and called Celestian.........Mesa just rated them a little higher, because they can handle the wattage, and more, so it is safe to do that. This is what I've heard. Mesa just took it upon themselves to rate the speakers higher.
  5. Originally posted by Sordid1 Well i've played both too and didn't think there was a big difference but that is interesting about the Mesa V30's being different. You would think they would call them something else then. There is nothing different about them. Mesa just rates them at 70 watts (sometimes) for some reason. My Recto 2x12 is rated at 140 watts but my Recto 4x12 is 240 watts. Go figure....

  7. Originally posted by SKYNETRP Don't the Mesa's have an semi-open back with two different kinds of speakers?? I thoughtthe better Mesa's had that. You thinking of the older Mark series cabs. Sordid1 is refering to the Traditional Recto 4x12s.
  8. Originally posted by Sordid1 I have to disagree on this one. First of all the Marshalls come with the gt1275's and the Legacy cabs have the V30's which are identical to the Mesa cabs speakers. If you put a traditional Mesa cab next to a Carvin Legacy cab the differences should be slim to none. Depends how old the cab is. The original ones came with Greenbacks.
  9. I've got a Carvin MTS 4x12 from back when they were loading them with BR12s. The thing is built almost as good as my Mesa cabs and it sounds kickass. Kind of on the dark side but thats the speakers. They're awesome cabs. I'd take one over a Marshall in a heartbeat.

  11. Great ending to a great story. Thanks MrKnobs.
  12. MrKnobs your stories are fantastic. I've been addicted to them and I've started to compile this Gail story in a Word document to give to some of my friends. Your an amazing writer. Thank you for posting this.
