IBBIAZ

I'm asking about this because I'm using EWQLSO Gold for my orchestral sounds right now, but the room just sounds so huge that it won't fit well behind guitars and drums and things. They either sound mushy or overpowering, and they don't seem to fit in the same room. I understand that I'm going to need to make my guitars and drums sound like they're in a bigger room than a typical mix, with all these instruments behind, but I also want to make the orchestral sounds seem smaller. EWQLSO Gold sounds so big because the samples come with so much reverb already on them. Are there any mixing techniques that kind of compensate for over-reverbing? Maybe an expander?
