Hi Glenn. I've been using an arranger for solo gigs and even recording for close to thirty years. I started with a Bachmann WS2 workstation then graduated to a PA80 then a pa2xpro and now (yesterday!) the PA4x! If you work on using the styles correctly and also arranging midi sequences you can certainly avaid the "cheese factor" of playing with tracks.
