  1. Hi, everybody. Haven't posted here in years, not like I post much anyway, but I'm reaching a critical state and could use some fellow keyboard player's help. I am a totally blind keyboard player from central New Jersey. My style leans towards the classic and progressive rock and metal genres with some 80s pop thrown in for the hell of it. I've had more than my share of gear over the years. it's been an ever rotating arsenal of keyboards, most of which haven't really been very blind friendly. I've reached a state where most of my gear, I spend more time trying to figure out how to program it or make it work with my computer or fight with my daw than actual playing music. I'm quickly burning out. I'm mostly self taught in the ways of playing and midi and sound design and whatnot. Sadly, I don't know any other keyboard players who do what I do, so I don't have a lot of help when I need it. My current rig is a Nord Stage 2 compact, Yamah MO-XF6, Korg Kronos, King Korg, Nord lead a1r and a few midi controllers. Recently, native Instruments have made Komplete accessible through their complete control and so I've dabbled with that and by proxy, arturia v-collection omnisphere, superior drummer and other soft synths over the years. My daw was sonar 8.53, but that is becoming problematic, so I'm transition to either rreaper or logic and I was considering trying to use mainstage. There are a lot of things I don't know regarding midi and sound design and trying to get this unruly beast tamed so that I can spend more time playing and creating and less time being an engineer. And when I need sighted help, I have no idea how to direct them to address the issues that my eyes can not. What I need is help from other keyboard players. I'm surrounded by guitarists and drummers and bass players who have no idea of how any of this works, and they offer to help, but I have no easy means of guiding them. If anybody here is willing to be of assistance to me I'd be highly grateful. Some of the stuff I use is fine, mainly the nord keyboards which are truly wonderful keyboards due to their ease of accessibility, and others like the Kronos, sound beatufiul but beyond accessing the presets, I can't do anything else. Even with the software stuff, there constantly areas where my screen reading software can't helop me, importing contact libraries, installing things, getting things configured, all of this has been a dead end in varying ways and it becomes an endless source of frustration for something that is supposed to be fun. If anybody is in the Jersey area cnd can help I'd be grateful beyond words. Failing that, I'd take any help I can at this point as long as this tangle of gear can be made sense of and usable. Thanks for at least listening to me vent and I appreciate any responses I get.
  2. My name is Damon Fibraio. I posted this track under the shortened name, Damon F. http://www.soundcloud.com/damonfmusic. This is an original piece I did in my home studio with the exception of the drums which was done by a friend of mine, Ian Baird, who also mixed the track. the guitars are actually keyboards, a sound from the Yamaha Motif xs7 run through revolver. The bass is from Trillian. The solo is actually a synth sound run through a lot of distortion. Everything else should be self explanatory. I hope I posted the link correctly as I am totally blind and this site is a little tricky to use with my screen reading software.
  3. Sorry if this post looks bad, I am totally blind. I am selling a tC Hellicon voice live 2 in great shape, no case. Not sure if it has the latest OS on it. No box or manual, though, sorry. Prefer pickup only but will ship if I have to, buyer pays shipping from New Jersey. Accepting paypal or cash only. Asking $400 or best offer.
  4. Sorry for my potentially bad looking post as I am totally blidn. I am selling one used Tascam fw1884. the unit does have some issues. One bent fader on channel 2 or 3. There are some channels that don't seem to work, I haven't used it as an interface in a while but I know that channel 3 or 5 has a broken quarter inch input. I have been using it as a control surface for a while and that works fine. Asking $400 or best offer. Prefer pickup in New Brunswick, NJ but will ship if I have to. Paypal or cash only.
  5. Hi. I apologize if this post looks bad, I am totally blind. Selling a few things. Looking for pickup preferred, if must ship, buyer pays shipping. Paypal or cash only accepted. 1 line6 pod x3 live with case. One foot switch doesn't seem to work, I think it is the second or third one on the bottom row for switching presets, but I hear it is an easy fix. Power supply casing did crack, but I have it taped together for the time being. Unit is fully upgraded with all expansions and does work fine other than what is noted. Asking $100. Boss me70, without power supply, no case. Honestly, I am a keyboard player who routes his guitar sounds from his Motif into the pedal and this pedal works great, but has no cabinet simulator that I can find and I don't run through guitar cabs so I upgraded to an me80. Don't need the me70 any7more, so selling it. $199 or best offer.
  6. Excuse me if this post looks like dog crap, i am totally blind. I am looking to sell a few things. I prefer pickup in New Brunswick, NJ only, cash or paypal payments only. Selling the following items. 1. Nord rack 2x virtual analog synth tabletop unit. Barely used. ONly have the rack and the power cord, but the manuals are downloadable fromnord's site. This unit sounds great, but want to get something newer. I've seen the unit on sweetwater selling new for $1295, I am asking for $700. if that is too high, make me a better offer. 2. Korg Krome 73 with soft case. Would love to keep it as it is a very light keyboard, but the touch screen makes it impossible for me to use as a blind person for anything more than a preset box. Looking to get some cash for it to get maybe a fa06 or fa08 which seems more accessible. Paid $1295 or so, but asking $750 or best offer. 3. Nord stage 2 88. I love this board, but it is just too big and heavy and tough to fit into other people's cars or for me to drag around while working a cane or a seeing eye dog. Asking $3000. There is an error that comes up relating to the pitch stick but should be an easy fix if you can open it up and reseat the connector. sadly, I am unable to do this. Includes Nord soft case on wheels. the case itself is a bit beat up, but it works. I would accept a trade for a nord stage 2 compact. Make an offer if the $3000 is too high. Contact me at dfibraio@gmail.com.
  7. The following gear for sale. All prices negotiable. Accept paypal. buyer pays shipping. will not ship until money is received. I would provide pictures, but I am totally blind and can't easily get pics, but I can try if you absolutely have to see the item. I am really in need of getting rid of this gear to people who will use it and give it a good home, but don't try to screw me, because I am not having any of that. Gear list as follows: 1. Korg m3 73 key version with radias expansion board, updated to version 2.0. The m3 memory slot is broken, but I do have the 256mb memory chip upgrade. If you aren't going toneed to load or make samples, you don't need to fix this. if so, then obviously you'll need to fix it. Basically the clips that hold the chip in broke. That's all. asking $1500. Again, this is the Korg m3 module bolted into the 73 key chassis. It also has the radias expansion board installed. This is a steal, folks, since the original m3-73 goes for $2399 at last check and that's without the radias expansion. 2. Speaking of the Radias, I have a Korg Radias with 49 key keyboard. Updated as well to 2.0 Works fine, no flaws that I can see. Asking $600. If you want to buy the m3 and radias together and mount the radias into the m3 chassis, which you can do, I'll sell both together for $1900. Will also include the mounting brackets for that if you need them. 3. Kurzweil K2661. This 61 key kurzweil k2600 era synth includes rom block 4, a ribbon controller and a scsi cd-rom drive with a bunch of Kurzweil sample CDs I can throw in, since I won't be needing them. The Kurzweil was bought new in 2005 for $1999 or so. The ribbon goes for $50 and rom block 4 was a couple hundred bucks. The ribbon controller's rj11 connector plug has the little clip broken off so the cord may fall out is pulled on, but as long as you don't pull on the cord, it stays in and works solidly. Some velcro marks on the keyboard above the keyboad itself where the ribbon is velcroed. Asking $1600. 4. Novation Nova 2 desktop unit. I think that's what it is anyway. 3 oscillator virtual analog modeling desktop module. Bought used for $350. Asking $300. 5. Useaudio plugiator, fully expanded with all 8 plugins. This has a great sound all around. I bought it last year with the original 4 plugins and upgraded it, so it is fully loaded. Asking $350. 6. Nord rack 2x. Rack version of the nord lead 2x. over 1000 sounds, virtual analog goodness. Look it up for yourselves. Bought new earlier this year. Still in perfect shape. Asking $750. 7. Roland VK8m virtual tonewheel organ module. Needs to be updated to the latest roland firmware. Works great, though. Have the sound site update installed. Asking $600.
  8. The following gear for sale. All prices negotiable. Accept paypal. buyer pays shipping. will not ship until money is received. I would provide pictures, but I am totally blind and can't easily get pics, but I can try if you absolutely have to see the item.
  9. Selling the following stuff. Accept paypal. Buyer pays shipping or pick up in MiddleSex county. Note: I'd provide pictures, but I am totally blind, but I can have a sighted person assist me if necessary. 1. Korg m3 73 key version with Radias expansion. This unit has a broken slot where the 256mb memory chip installs. I have it upgraded to the 2.0 expanded firmware, the radias board is installed and also upgraded as well. I have the 256mb memory chip, but the parts the hold the chip in place broke. I'll throw the chip in anyway, though. If you don't need to expand the memory on the M3, everything else works and the Radias board sounds amazing in this unit. Selling the M3 because I can't work the touch screen with no sight and Korg's editors are not friendly to my screen reading software. Asking $1600 or best offer. 2. Korg radias, 49 key keyboard included. The Radias works flawlessly. Not sure what sound set I have loaded into it, though, but I think it is the 2.0 sounds. Was used for a magazine review, too, so there may be some custom sounds in there. INcludes the 49 key keyboard. Askng $700. If you want to buy the radias and m3 as a package deal, since you can mount the radias in the m3 73 chassis alongside the m3, I can let both go for $2100 or best offer, again. 3. Kurzweil K2661 keyboard 61 key k2600 with rom block 4 installed and the ribbon controller. Also throwing in a SCSI CD-rom drive with sample CDs I no longer need. Keyboard works great. Asking $2000 or best offer. 4. Roland VK8M. Roland's Hammond B3 emulator. I love this thing, but don't use it so much anymore now that I have b4 and am looking into a nord stage ex. It needs a firmware update, but you can download that for free from Roland's web site. Also included are some sounds with improved leslie simulation settings. Asking $700. Roland charges over $1200 new for this thing. Again, will accept alternative offers. 5. UseAudio Plugiator I bought this unit with the original 4 plugins in it, b4000, the minimoog, wavetable and voccoder p plugins installed, then updated it with the other 4 plugins, so this is fully expanded. Asking $400, which is a little cheaper than the base unit alone without the additional plugins. Again, best offers are accepted. 7. Nord rack 2x. Using this currently in my band, but want a nord wave. I love the sound of this unit, though, but need money more. Asking $800 or best offer. Again, I accept paypal. Buyer pays for shipping or can pick it up here in central NJ. I sadly will have to look for original documentation for all this stuff, some of it I have, others I do not. In the case of the plugiator, I'll have to make sure I have all the codes for the plugins, but I doubt you'd need them. Documentation for all units can be downloaded from the net and I probably have most of it on my hard drive that I can burn to a CD or something. In the case of the kurzweil or m3 or radias, I may still have alternative sound banks or video manuals lying around here, too, have to see what's still here. I really need to move this stuff, so if you want it make me an offer and we can work it out. Thanks.6. Novation Nova desktop unit. I thought this was a Nova 2 desktop unit, but it seems to just be a nova desktop. It sounds great either way. Updated to latest OS. Asking $300.
  10. Selling the following: Korg M3 73 key version with radias expansion and 256 mb ram chip. The slot that the ram chip is supposed to go in is kind of busted, though. If you can repair it or if you don't plan on loading in more than 64mb of samples, this keyboard is great. Upgraded to version 2.0. I would love to keep it, but I am totally blind and cannot get around its touch screen interface. Asking $1700 or best offer. Korg radias. 49 key version. Great virtual analog synth. Upgraded to 2.0. Works perfectly last I checked. Asking about $850 or best offer. Kurzweil K2661. 61 key Kurzweil workstation with rom block 4 installed, and the Kurzweil Ribbon controller. Throwing in a scsi CD-rom drive as well, plus some extras. Asking about $1800 for everything. Roland VK8M organ module. needs to be updated to the latest firmware, but otherwise works great. Excellent organ tone. Asking $700 or best offer. UseAudio Plugiator. fully expanded with all plugins. Asking $450 or best offer. Nord Rack 2x...just bought, works great. Love it but saving up for a wave and a stage ex. Asking $900. Alesis monitor mkii powered reference monitors. Pair, obviously. asking $3200. Contact me at dfibraio@gmail.com. I can be negotiated with. No trades, please unless it is really good. Paypal accepted. Will not ship unless paid first. Buyer also pays shipping. I may have some extra keyboard stands or hard cases for soe gear I can throw in to sweeten the deal. Again, contact me if interested and we'll negotiate.
  11. I have some gear I am wanting to clear out in favor of getting new gear. It breaks down like this. Kurzweil k2661 with hard shell case, scsi CD drive and a ribbon controller. The k2661 has rom block 4 installed, but not rom block 3. The ribbon may need replacing as the cord is fraying. It seems to work, but there is a slight dead spot sometimes when sliding the finger across it. It's a $50 replacement, though. Since I don't need them anymore, I am throwing in all my K series CDs and sounds as an extra to sweeten the deal. Asking about $1600 or best offer. Korg M3 73 key...Currently has the radias expansion board installed, and the radias module mounted in the chassis. Upgraded to version 2.0. NO other expansions purchased. Love this keyboard, but can't use it due to the touch screen and me being blind. Only flaw, the memory slot is broken, so I can't install the memory expansion, which I did buy. I can sell it with the radias r module attached for extra. If you just want the m3, asking about $1700, if you want the radias r, add an addition $600 and I could toss in the 49 key radias keyboard for you. NO cases, again, sorry. I do have the sudosonic video on the m3 I can include as well as some extra sounds. Korg Radias...upgraded to version 2.0. Currently mounted in the m3 73, but I have the 49 Key keyboard assembly. If you just want the radias, with keyboard, it is $700. Again, no cases, sorry, but I can include some extra sounds. Roland VK8M organ module. including the leslie modification files from the company I can't remember. Unit works, but having a problem upgrading it to the latest OS from Roland. Could be pilot error, though. Asking $500 or best offer. Would take trades for the following: Kurzweil pc3 76 key model only. Prophet 08, module, nord rack 2x or any other analog modules. You can contact me through email at dfibraio at comcast.net. Will not ship unless payment is received and cleared first. Buyer pays shipping. Everything is negotiable, but low ballers will be castrated. If interested, let me know. Local pickup in Central New Jersey is preferred.
  12. in addition, I am willing to accept trades if I am interested in your gear.
  13. For sale: Roland VK8M Hammond organ module, in great shape, needs to be updated to version 1.06 firmware, which I will include the firmware file on a CD along with the south side upgrade that improves the leslie simulation and additional sounds on a CD. $500 OBO Kurzweil K2661 61 note workstation. Thing is in great shape. Plays perfectly. Inclues options like the additional ribbon controller, rom block 4, classic keys option, SCSI CD-rom drive with a bunch of sample CDs, smart media card and all sounds i have for it on a CD. The ribbon controller cable has a broken clip so it may fall out and the end is a little messed up, but it is a replaceable option from sweetwater at $50, and it still works perfectly fine. Asking $2000 OBO I live in NJ and would prefer local sale only unless you have paypal, and that is at my discretion. I am not interested in being screwed over again. I am flexible on price, but no lowballing, please. Note: I am totally blind so the physical condition of the items above may be slightly off. I can tell you that the units do work and all knobs and stuff are in existence. I cannot account for scratches or other physical problems. I am perfectly willing to let anybody local to the Woodbridge, NJ area come and look at the gear themselves. I will have sighted people around as well to assist with anything needed. I believe I still have manuals, but if not, they are downloadable from the manufacturer's web sites. I can be contacted at remove-dfibraio@comcast.net-remove. Thanks and I really hope somebody is interested in giving my babies a good home.
  14. OK, way too much gear and want to trim down. Selling 99 percent of my studio to get new stuff, mainly a motif xs7 and a virus ti. Here's what you can own if you act now: 1. Yamaha motif es7...great condition, recently serviced to fix pitch bend wheel and keyboard issues, but otherwise in perfect playing shpae, few scratches thanks to band members with no brains. Includes 256MB of sampel ram, analog, dx and vl plg boards and I can throw in some smart media cards as well, if I find them all. Asking $1800. If you want a case, it is a road ready 76 key flight case, make offer. 2. Kurzweil K2661. IN perfect condition, never serviced, works great. Includes ribbon controller and rom block 4 plus tons and tons ofsample CDs I bought that I don't need and I can toss in a smart media card for that, too, plus pedals. Also may have a road ready flight case for that as well. Asking $1600 without case. Warning: ribbon controller cable a little messed up at connection end, but if you don't pull on the cable, the ribbon controller works flawlessly. The ribbon is taped to the keyboard above the keyboard and below the soft buttons, where the ribbon would be on the k2600. 3. Novation X-station, never taken out of studio. It is the 61 key version. Can throw in pedal as well. Asking $450 4. . Novation A-station, single space analog rack. Asking $150. Rarely used. 5. Roland XV5080 rack...sounds great. Includes srjv 80 pop, rap and super sound set boards, plus have 128mb of ram in there as well. ASking $500. Warning: data entry dial may need contact cleaner, as moving it to the right occasionally moves backward through patches instead of forwards. INc and dec buttons work fine, though. 6. Triton Rack...includes expb1, 2, and 5, keyboards, studio essentials, and vintage, plus moss board. Have 80mb of ram as well. and some korg sample collections and sound banks. Asking $750 7. Quicklock 3 tier keyboard stand, which has all the keyboards sitting on it...$100 8. Scsi CD-rom drive, for use with triton or kurzweil keyboards or anything with a scsi port on it. Asking $100. Can throw in with any rack/keyboard as well. 4 space road case, carpetted, kind of slim from front to back. great for studio gear...$100 Will consider trades for the following: Access Virus TI, keyboard or desktop module, Yamaha Motif xs7. May consider other trades, but they have to be good. Prices are negotiable. Have paypal, but will not move any items until cash is in the bank. I have been ripped off twice for a total of $2350 and the only reason I am doing this again is because Guitar center won't cooperate on trade ins anymore. Buyer pays shipping before items are shipped. I can take paypal, cashier's check, money order, or cash. Prefer pickup in Fords, NJ if you can, and will not let items go utnil cash is confirmed. I am totally blind, but will have sighted assistance on hand for any pickups, so don't even think about trying to take advantage. All gear is in perfect working order as of today. Due to visual impairmtne, I cannot detect physical condition, but all knobs and sliders have their caps and keys and buttons work, unless otherwise indicated. Please, email dfibraio@comcast.net with all offers, as I do not check here often. Thanks.
