  1. For me, this is the ultimate Muff. Go for this one. I hate the Double Muff and the PI(US) that I got once. The Russian model was a little better, but also not a keeper. This one is. Territory is hard-rock, grunge, ala Smashing Pumpkins, although it does not replace the Graphic Fuzz, which has more tonal possibilities - softer and bluesier indeed. It's a bit pricey, a bit limited in spectrum (not for Blues) so this is a 9.

    Vox VT15

For less than 10 bucks, go fot the Tweed Amp Torres mod kit. It boosts the sound, overall volume and reactivity to your play. The other upgrades (Weber speaker, NOS valves,... ) are expensive. But if you can afford this little luxury, go for it. It is much sweeter than the Champion 600. All in all, it is not a real good value, but what would be life without gems like this??? Hmmm? Tell me...
  3. Recently, I was lucky to try plenty of SG, Gibson and others, for hours and hours, at this incredibly friendly Jensen guitar shop in Odense. The Toni Iommi signature SG is way better that other Epi SG. No surprise. But IMO also way better than the Gibsons! The "Faded" model really could not stand the comparaison: kinda armored truck vs. Ferrari. With the Toni Iommi you play sharp, loud, brillant, gutsy and ... comfortable. It became my fav axe over 6 times more expensive others (incl. LP Std, Relic Fender Strat, Tele US, Sheraton and more). 10.

  5. I play rock, hard rock and funky. For my taste, this pedal is superior in sound quality to the classic Cry Baby. I can nail great solos with it. Excellent for funky stuff too. But still i think the sound could be somehow smoother/creamier.
  6. Give me one and I submit it for sale the next day on eBay: 1$, no limit. If I get 10 $, that will make my day. One of the worst deal in my life. I also think it is frankly insane to use the name & image of Dime on this machine. God bless him.
  7. Great value for the price: 4 Celestion G12 in a big sounding cab. Highly recommended for players of all levels.
  8. I play Hard Rock, Rock, Trash, Blues, Country. But as soon as I activate the led on the Deucetone, forget about country and easy music: I go damn nuts with monster rock tunes.
  9. Much better than the Shredmaster (which eats all high-end frequencies). Much better than the DS1, Big Muff US and Double Muff, waaaay too harsh and fake... The Boost mode is incredibly musical. It not just adds volume, but also this little "sparkle", or "touch" needed to put the amp just on fire. On this, it is definitely better than my old vintage TS-9. Simply said, I have sold all the mentionned disto boxes, to only keep the BB2, the MXR Dime and MT2. The BB2 being from far my favorite. I play pop, rock, hard rock and metal. Why? The harmonics, the musicality, the respect of the instrument, the heat.. WELL DONE MARSHALL. My best buy from the last 10 years (just before the POD XT Live). I did not expect so much quality from this little box. I love it more than the OD1 and OD2 on the Marshall. Yes, a fantastic value for a few bucks.

    Marshall VS100H

I write articles in HC when a product brings me love or hate emotions. The VS100 is a fantastic amp, for an incredible price (even when it was sold new). I recommend to any beginner to middle-class guitar player to seriously consider this amp. Excellent value. Really a step above the VS65R, which is also a good amp (no, I am not affiliated to Marshall)
  11. Been playing for 30 years for fun. Rock, mostly. I'm addicted to the Vox sound: Beatles, Stones, Faces, Who. I have a great AC30, which is fantastic but damned heavy to carry and too loud even at 22W. So, I am still looking for another Pathfinder 10. If you have a good one for sale, e-mail me. I would not buy one online. I believe it is a fantastic value when it works. One word about the speaker which is EXCELLENT for the size. In itself, this speaker pays off for this amp.
  12. Would be a bad bad move if you buy it, my friend...
  13. In the same category the closest amp I own is a Fender Champion 110 (also a very good amp), which I can't take everywhere and does not run on battery: so, I am totally dependable on the MS-2. With the MS-2, the cab and a Variax guitar, I can virtually play everywhere, even by walking with the MS-2 attached on the belt, get dozens of different sounds (and pre-set tunings !!!) and smile when people realizes that this box has a DEVIL inside. Stolen? I would buy another within a week. Do you need to practise EVERYWHERE? Look no further.
  14. Been playing since I'm born, and maybe before. I am some sort of a Bayou chooglin' and British invasion music guy. If stolen I'll wait until the variax electronic is embarked in a more decent body. Imagine the Line6 electronic in a Epiphone, a Fender or a Yamaha!!! I am seriously thinking about selling my guitar collection and upgrade my 500 to a warmoth body & neck. Despite the criticism: it is a fantastic product.
  15. Been playing for 30 years. Would run to buy again if stolen. Would never consider the Gibson J200, as I simply don't deserve it. The Epi EJ-200 is in my category, I have more limits than the guitar. And... the great thing is that it attracts me like a magnet, makes me play more and better. I wish it would not have the plastic pieces. Go for it, if you can still find them. These guitars are little gems for standard people.
